As the dwindling fire of 2009 flickers it’s last ember in the yule-tide grate it’s time to either sweep clean with the new broom of 2010 or turn over a new leaf and crawl back under it. We’ve had talk of recession, credit crunch, doom & gloom for far too long.

Now ’tis the season to be jolly, although perhaps not if you’re a turkey. So baste your steaming puddings with the optimistic juices of the season and prepare to keep your peckers up, for 2010 is going to be the ‘year of the chicken’. In 2010 we’ll be taking a birds eye view of the world with Wanda the chicken for a selection of news, views and opinionated chatter that pecks at the nose of establishment and lays eggs in the nest of good old common sense.

So, if you’re birds of a similar feather chick-chat here with Wanda the Chicken over the next few months where we will roost on the perches of good ideas and worthy intentions; and drop guano on the hen house floor of stupidity and insincerity

Happy New Year!
